Happy Baby
Yesterday, I was home with a sick baby. Brooklyn got some sort of virus that gave her a bad rash on her face, and high fever. Even with round-the clock medicine (alternating ibuprofin & tylenol every 3 hours) her fever remained around 102.3-103.6. No fun. It wasn't overly concerning though because she remained alert and continued eating. Actually, maybe a little TOO alert considering she was sick. I thought sick babies were supposed to be quiet & sleep a lot. Brooklyn did the opposite. She either laughed or cried - no in between & refused to sleep for anything more than 15 minute incriments. How's mommy supposed to catch up on DVR and housework if the sick baby is awake & demanding attention? Hmmph!
Happy to report that even though my carpet still needs to be vacuumed, she's feeling much better today!! Maybe she'll actually sleep tonight!
She was mostly cranky while sick, but I don't think Abigail has EVER, and I mean EVER laughed when she was sick. This was Brooklyn, yesterday, with a temperature of 103.
And yes, that's me. With no makeup after being up all night with a sick baby. I have no shame.
