How far along: 34 weeks.
How big is baby: Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like your average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long.
Total weight gain: I'm not totally sure cause I had an issue with retaining water right after Christmas, but I think I'm right around 26 pounds?
Diet/exercise: I did prenatal yoga the other day with Abby. She let me get through about 20 minutes & then demanded I go play with her. Oh well - she can do a pretty good "downward dog" now and 20 minutes of yog is better than nothing. Diet is decent thanks to heartburn & squished stomach :)
Maternity clothes: Not sure if this is normal? But some of my smaller maternity tops don't even cover my belly at this point. I've been wearing Brandon's shirts around the house.
Sleep: Not very good lately. Now that it's January, that means I'm due NEXT month! And I have entirely too much on my mind at night. Plus a cold/sinus headaches/braxton hicks contractions/baby trying to punch her way out.
Best moment of the week: Not pregnancy related, but taking Abigail on a mother/daughter date day. We went to the Aquarium & then ate fish & chips for lunch and rode the carousel. I know my moments with just her & I are precious & short-lived. Trying to soak as much bonding time in as possible while I still can give her all of my attention.
Food cravings: apples & cinnamon, apple cider - still the same since I was 19 weeks along! funny!! I eat apple slices literally coated in cinnamon every night after dinner.
Food aversions: Not a fan of red meat
Symptoms: This is going to be a long list...I'm waddling, I swell up if I so much as glance at a grain of salt, heartburn, short of breath, tired after doing nothing, irritable, exhausted, peeing all the time, the works.
Movement: Um yeah I'm being beat up from the inside at this point. This baby is strong!
Gender: GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!
What I’m looking forward to: Getting everything in order this month so that I can feel prepared for the baby. My friend is throwing me a shower next weekend, so after that I can go shopping for any miscellaneous items we still need & hopefully we'll be completely done with baby prep this month. It's quite the project since we're just now starting like...this weekend.
What I miss: Bloody freakin' mary's! (still), sleeping although I know I'm never going to get a good night's rest again with 2 little ones. Oh & not feeling like a beached whale.
Next appt: January 12th, and they go to weekly appointments after that! Yikes!
