I mean, c'mon. This amount of cuteness is not sustainable. We've been busy these past few weeks, as normal. I can't even begin to update everything that's happened. I survived my company retreat, and it was for the most part a success! Woo-hoo! (Let's just ignore the fact that someone may have fallen into a fire pit and I spent the entire night in the ER with said person, and did not get more than 1 hour of sleep on my 1 night away from my kids ever)
In more important news, Abby started preschool. Gulp...my stomach jumps into my throat every time I think of her being in school already. How. Did. This. Happen? It's full-on preschool with homework and show-and-tell Fridays...the works. So not cool. I mean really, she's not even 3 years old yet.
Abigail is thoroughly enjoying preschool. She got to be the teacher's helper on Monday and took her job very seriously. She has learned the letter of the week - A, and the number of the week - 1. Her homework is to practice writing the letter A. Brandon & I have been helping her with homework. It's so much pressure as parents to make sure you prove undoubtedly that your child is indeed a genius.
Also? Abby is very proud of her ability to write a capital "A" and is a bit overly confident in her writing ability. Therefore, she goes on to write her entire name, and reads her writing out loud, "Abigail Jean Conyers, the first. Ever." Really. Of course when you look at the paper, it's just a bunch of squiggles, but she swears that's what it says ;)
Thank goodness Brooklyn is still a baby! I can feel the nervous breakdown coming when it's her turn. She recently turned 7 months old, and remains the happiest baby in the greater Seattle area.
She has 2 new teeth - the better to bite mommy's boobies with! And I'm pretty sure she has a bunch more coming. She's a trooper though, she's sleeping through the night, and is happy as long as she's included in whatever is going on. She's such a different personality than Abigail - Brooklyn's just along for the ride.
And now that my best friend's wedding is over, and my company retreat is over, I can finally breathe for about 1 week. Then it all starts over again with a trip to see family, another wedding, an office move, including me managing a complete office remodel of the new space & exactly 1 month until we move into the space, which as of yesterday looks like this:
Then I host a baby shower, Abigail's 3rd birthday party (dinosaur & princess themed, of course), and a partidge in a pear tree.
