I feel pretty, oh so pretty, oh so pretty and whitty and broke!

Yay for Spring! And thus begins my "birthday season" :P My birthday may not be for another several days, but this weekend felt like a great birthday weekend! First of all, I lost 1 pound. Ok, so not much, but it's progress just the same. And after eating a BBQ bacon cheeseburger & going to happy hour & eating more food at my work event on Thursday, I was thinking any progress I'd made earlier in the week was surely for nothing. But 1 pound! And I am proud enough of that. I took a photo this morning, and I still look a tad pregnant, but things are getting there.
1 month ago vs. today:

So yesterday I took a much needed mommy day off & went with my BFF to get pedicures and do some shopping. It felt SO good to take 5 hours & do whatever & not have to worry about if the baby needed to be fed, if she was getting sleepy, if she was bored. I went 5 hours without singing MMM AAAH Went the little green frog one day...MMM AAAH went the little green frog.... or The Itsy Bitsy Spider. 5 entire hours of mommy freedom! And it felt really really great! I came back home feeling so refreshed & relieved to find that B & Abigail got along splendidly while I was away. She was sleeping in his arms when I got home - so cute!

That's not to say that I didn't think of her constantly while I was out. The plan was to meet my BFF at the spa, but she was running a little late, so I detoured into Target. I had so much fun! Shopping is WAY more fun now that I have a baby to spoil! I got Abigail some Easter presents (shh - don't tell her it's from me & not the Easter bunny), I also got some stuff for our summer vacations in Chelan - a beach towel & a sand pail & shovel. Oh and don't forget the stinkin cutest baby bathing suit EVER with a matching hat!! I'll be sure to post pictures of that when she wears it for the first time. It's a one-piece, as her daddy thinks baby bikinis are inappropriate & I tend to agree. We'll see if I still agree after I have to change a diaper & peel off a wet 1 piece & then get it back on. But not only did I buy some things for Abigail, I did manage to selfishly spend some moola on myself. And it's about time! My wardrobe is SO pathetic! I haven't shopped for myself in over a year!! It was a bit frustrating at first because I am inbetween sizes, and I have a few more pounds to lose and some toning to do soI refuse to buy the larger size. Hoping that I'll be comfortably into the next size down within a couple weeks. But then finally I tried a few things on that fit & are slightly more fitting than I'd prefer at the moment, but should fit great once I get down to my goal weight - only 4 pounds to go! Anyway, it was a successful day all around.

For those keeping score:
Pregnancy weight gain: 39 pounds
Weight loss so far: 35 pounds
Pounds to lose: 4! :) I can do it!
